Co-Simulation of Optimal EVSE and Techno-Economic System Design Models for Electrified Fleets

As the transition to electric mobility is expanding at a rapid pace, operationally feasible and economically viable charging infrastructure needed support electrified fleets. This paper presents co-simulation of optimal vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) techno-economic system design models investigate behaviors various EVSE configurations from cost technical aspects. While optimization performed for grid-tied PV system, model considers all options that are currently installed workplaces. To impact EV utilization rate, three fleet sizes considered, which generated based on real data. Furthermore, electricity rates also explored through an innovative business EV-specific (BEV) rate conventional time-of-use (ToU) tariff. It shown investing in renewable energy technologies workplace can lower costs. Cost savings differ types size under BEV while EVSEs display similar cost-saving behavior ToU tariff irrespective size. DC Fast Charging (DCFC) found be highly sensitive as compared AC EVSEs. Moreover, DCFCs make better use makes their economics competitive much Finally, it have minor effect contrast DCFC case.
